PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple method for searching for a substance which controls the amount of melanin in a melanocyte.SOLUTION: The invention provides a method for searching for a melanin controlling agent comprising the following steps a)-c): a) contacting a test substance to keratinocytes to culture; b) isolating an exosome fraction from cultured cells and measuring a secretion level; and c) selecting, as a melanin controlling agent, the test substance which changes the secretion level of the exosome.EFFECT: According to the method, a material which changes the amount of melanin in a melanocyte and a material which changes dendrite formation can be searched for; and a melanogenesis promoter, a skin browning agent, a leukoderma preventive or therapeutic agent, a white hair preventing or improving agent, a dendrite elongation promoter, a melanogenesis inhibitor, a whitening agent, a dendrite elongation inhibitor, and the like can be evaluated or selected.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
