PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving apparatus and driving method for brushless motor capable of detecting a rotor position with high precision even when the temperature of a coil of a brushless motor has changed.SOLUTION: A brushless motor driving apparatus which drives a brushless motor with a rotor and a stator having coils of a plurality of phases wound thereon, includes: an energization position calculation unit for determining a predetermined energization pattern from a plurality of energization patterns of an electric current running through the coil; a resistance calculation unit for calculating a resistance value of the coil on the basis of a voltage applied to the coil and a current value running through the coil by effecting energization using the predetermined energization pattern; and an energization voltage calculation unit for calculating a voltage value to be applied to the coil when forcibly commutating the brushless motor with the resistance value and a predetermined current value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
