1. A method of controlling a sleep mode of a digital photographing apparatus comprising a hand shake correction unit, the method comprising:
measuring a vibration degree of the digital photographing apparatus; checking whether the sleep mode of the digital photographing apparatus is turned on or off; if the sleep mode is turned off, comparing the vibration degree measured for a first time with a first limit value; if the vibration degree is less than the first limit value, turning on the sleep mode; if the sleep mode is turned on, comparing the vibration degree measured for a second time with a second limit value; if the vibration degree is greater than the second limit value, turning off the sleep mode; when the sleep mode is turned on, performing a hand shake correction operation only for vibrations of at least a predetermined size; and when the sleep mode is turned off, performing a hand shake correction operation for all vibrations.
