PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface mounting inductor which does not require a complex structure for sandwiching a part of a metal terminal by a mold in a cavity at the time of molding, an in which the problem of springback does not occur, and the metal terminal is less likely to fall off, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A surface mounting inductor includes a mold coil where a wound winding 40 is sealed of a magnetic material resin produced by kneading magnetic material powder 11 and resin, and a metal terminal 50 arranged on the exterior of a mold coil. The metal terminal 50 is provided with an embedded portion, a bottom face and a side face by bending a part thereof, and a part of the embedded portion, bottom face and side face in the thickness direction is embedded in the magnetic material resin.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
