摘要 The present invention relates to a seawater desalination system for improving energy efficiency by applying a heated coolant discharged from a nuclear power plant and high-temperature steam generated in a reactor to seawater desalination. The seawater desalination system uses nuclear power plant equipment consisting of a steam generator (10), a turbine (20), a condenser (30), and a discharge pipe (34). According to one embodiment of the present invention, the seawater desalination system comprises: a steam supply pipe (40) for supplying heat exchange steam which is part of steam exhausted from the turbine (20); a seawater supply pipe (36) branched from the discharge pipe (34); a heat exchanger (50) connected to the steam supply pipe (40) to be supplied with the heat exchange steam, and connected to the seawater supply pipe (36) to be supplied with first seawater which is part of the seawater discharged from the condenser (30); and a connecting pipe (4) for connecting the heat exchanger (50) with a freshwater generation unit (2). The heat exchanger (50) raises a temperature of the first seawater by using heat contained in the heat exchange steam, and the first seawater of which temperature is raised is supplied to the freshwater generation unit (2) through the connecting pipe (4), whereby the first seawater can be desalinated.
