The present invention relates to a ferrite stainless steel with improved formability, and a manufacturing method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the manufacturing method of the ferrite stainless steel comprises: a process of manufacturing a slab including 0.02 wt% or less (excluding 0 wt%) of C, 0.02 wt% or less (excluding 0 wt%) of N, 1.0 wt% or less (excluding 0 wt%) of Si, 15.5-20.0 wt% of Cr, 0.1-0.55 wt% of Nb, and the remaining consisting of Fe and inevitable impurities; a process of performing hot rolling of the slab; a process of growing an abnormal grain group constituted with a coarse grain and more than one fine grain located in the coarse grain forming a high-angle boundary with the coarse grain by performing first cold rolling and first cold annealing of the hot rolled slab; and a process of resolving the abnormal grain group into a plurality of normal grains by performing second cold rolling and second cold annealing of the slab where the abnormal grain group is grown. The ferrite stainless steel and the manufacturing method thereof is able to improve formability of a final product by modifying a fine structure of the ferrite stainless steel. |
