摘要 Disclosed are a system and a method for estimating a state of charge (SOC) of a sodium battery. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the system for estimating an SOC of a sodium battery comprises: the sodium battery; a communication unit which connects a communication line for controlling the sodium battery and includes an external interface for transmitting and receiving information to and from a high-level energy management system; a monitoring unit which collects a voltage, a current, and a temperature of the sodium battery, which are measured through various sensors; an SOC estimation unit which estimates the SOC of the sodium battery based on the voltage, the current, and the temperature of the sodium battery, which are collected through the monitoring unit; a compensation value generation unit which generates a statistical charging/discharging pattern-based SOC reference variation collected in a fully charging region having a small SOC error of the sodium battery and stores the statistical charging/discharging pattern-based SOC reference variation in a database; and a control unit which calculates an SOC error by comparing an SOC variation calculated by the SOC estimation unit with the statistical charging/discharging pattern-based SOC reference variation of the energy management system, and corrects the SOC error in accordance with the statistical charging/discharging pattern-based SOC reference variation.
