PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of shortening a change operation of a display design and changing it easily if the display design of an image display unit does not suit one's preference.SOLUTION: When a microcomputer detects abnormality such as step-out of an entity pointer 22, a vehicle speed display is switched from a pointer display unit 2 to a liquid crystal display 3. Also, if the microcomputer detects the stop of a vehicle after the switch from the pointer display unit 2 to the liquid crystal display 3, a design selection menu 39 for selecting the display design of the vehicle speed is displayed on the liquid crystal display 3. The microcomputer displays the vehicle speed on the liquid crystal display 3 in the display design selected by an operation means during the display of the design selection menu 39. |
