The present invention is a trimming method in which the width of a trim on a cardboard sheet is changed and edges are cut off so that the trim is cut away frontward and rearward using an edge-cutting device when an order specification is changed in a corrugating machine. The method is configured so as to have a first edge-cutting step for cutting the trim along the edges according to a previous order specification, and a second edge-cutting step for cutting the trim along the edges according to a new order specification rearward from the location where the trim is cut along the edges according to the previous order specification.
