The present invention relates to an electromechanical brake, and more specifically, to an electromechanical brake which generates braking power for a disk rotated by an electrical driving unit. The electromechanical brake comprises: a driving unit which generates rotational power with electric power selectively applied by user`s control of a brake pedal; a differential gear unit which is connected to the driving unit, and in which a first shaft and a second shaft that are arranged on one straight line to form a rotational axis are installed to be rotated in the same direction by the rotational power of the driving unit; a first pad installed on one side of a brake disk; a second pad installed on the other side of the brake disk; a first braking unit one end of which is connected to the first shaft, the other end of which is connected to the first pad, and which generates braking power by making the first pad in contact with the one side of the disk by rotation of the first shaft; and a second braking unit one end of which is connected to the second shaft, the other end of which is connected to the second pad, and which generates the braking power by making the second pad in contact with the other side of the disk by rotation of the second shaft. |
