The purpose of the present invention is to provide a chain tensioner, which reduces the number of components with a simple configuration, simplifies the assembly process, and does not cause displacement or rattling to stabilize chain drive to reduce the generation of abrasion or damage, thereby improving durability. The chain tensioner includes: a drive guide shoe (130) supported to an arm part (120) provided on a tensioner body (110) such that the drive guide shoe can be swiveled with respect to the arm part. The chain tensioner includes: a fitting hole (141) whereby a bearing part (140) of the drive guide shoe (130) is fitted to a first shaft (122) extending to one side part of a front end of the arm part (120); and a guide portion (142) guided to a portion of a second shaft (123) extending to the other side part, wherein a slit portion (143) with a width wider than the width of a drive guide shoe (130) side is formed between the fitting hole (141) and the guide portion (142). |
