<p>According to an embodiment of the present invention, a text input device using a motion sensor includes: a motion sensor which senses motion data including at least one between finger shape data and finger motion data of a user; a text input start recognition unit which recognizes start of text input by the user when the motion sensor senses the motion data; and a text input unit which generates a text pattern by combining each stroke corresponding to the finger motion data of the user until one text input is completed according to the motion data, extracts a character corresponding to the text pattern from a predefined database, and inputs the corresponding character onto a screen. Therefore, the present invention recognizes and combines the motion of a finger detected by the motion sensor at a consonant/vowel level, thereby reducing wrong-recognition compared to the recognition method at a character level and recognizing written text input quickly.</p> |
