<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prediction apparatus for predicting a value relating to an event which changes in time series, a prediction method, and a computer program.SOLUTION: A prediction apparatus includes: recording means for recording in time series a value relating to an event which changes non-periodically, in association with item values of items corresponding to relevant events relating to the event; means for specifying a period having the same secular change tendency as that of the value in the previous period in a prediction period; means for calculating Mahalanobis distances of the items by use of the item values in a period a predetermined period before the prediction period; means for selecting a value relating to the event, on the basis of the Mahalanobis distances in the specified period; means for deriving strength of correlation by use of the selected value and an item value in a period a predetermined period before the period to which the value belongs; and means for calculating a prediction value relating to the event in the prediction period, on the basis of the strength of correlation derived.</p> |
