<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure a reaction force around a turning axis generated in a tire with high accuracy.SOLUTION: The tire testing device includes: holding means 11 for holding a tire T; a pressure plate 13 in which a tire T held by the holding means 11 is pressed; a support medium 12 for rotatably supporting the holding means 11 around a turning axis L which is orthogonal to a surface of the pressure plate 13; and drive means 14 for causing the holding means 11 to be rotated around the turning axis L. The drive means 14 includes a fluid pressure cylinder 26 having a cylinder supported by the support medium 12 and a piston rod connected to the holding means 11. The holding means 11 and the piston rod are connected to each other via a strain gauge 35 for measuring force acting around the turning axis L.</p> |
