摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, when a battery controller is restarted for a fault, occurrence of the same abnormality results and an area of nonvolatile memory is occupied by the same fault information.SOLUTION: In step S4, the current diagnostic code is checked against a diagnostic code table 143, and, if the degree of seriousness is determined to be high, providing that an area 153 of a nonvolatile memory 150 is found to have a free space in step S7, fault information and the diagnostic code are recorded in the area 153 of the nonvolatile memory 150 in step S8. If the area 153 of the nonvolatile memory 150 is found to have no free space in step S7, diagnostic codes already recorded in the area 153 of the nonvolatile memory 150 are sequentially read out and checked against the diagnostic code table 143 to search for fault information having a low degree of seriousness in step S9. Then, in step S10, the current fault information and diagnostic code are recorded, by overwriting, in the area 153 of the nonvolatile memory 150 in which fault information having a low degree of seriousness is stored.</p>
