<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage type water heater capable of improving energy saving performance while keeping ease of use.SOLUTION: A storage type water heater 35 includes: mixing means (medium temperature water mixing valve 40, mixing valve 22 for hot water supply) for mixing hot water supplied from a hot water storage tank 8 and low-temperature water supplied from a water source, and supplying the resultant mixed hot water to a first hot water supply pipe 24; and control means 36 for performing switching between a fixed temperature hot water supply mode performing control so that a temperature of the hot water supplied to the first hot water supply pipe 24 is kept fixed and a variable temperature hot water supply mode performing control so that the temperature of the hot water supplied to the first hot water supply pipe 24 is periodically changed. The control means 36, when starting the supply of hot water to the second hot water supply pipe 25 from a state of supplying the hot water to the first hot water supply pipe 24 in the variable temperature hot water supply mode without supplying the hot water to the second hot water supply pipe 25, switches the variable temperature hot water supply mode to the fixed temperature hot water supply mode, or shortens the period of the periodical change of the variable temperature hot water supply mode in comparison with an original period, prior to the start of the hot water to the second hot water supply pipe 25.</p> |
