PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for simply and certainly producing a or α yeast from a/α yeast having no mating type, without using a mutagen.SOLUTION: A screening method of yeast having a mating ability, of the invention, comprises a step of selecting a or α yeast derived by LOH (Loss of Heterozygosity) from a/α yeast having excellent characteristics, by expressing a marker gene corresponding to a desired selection pressure specifically in a cells or α cells. A hybridization strain with any yeast having excellent characteristics can be produced efficiently by using an obtained transformant strain as a parent strain of at least either one of them. |
