PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating composition capable of forming a transparent coating film with both high heat-shielding properties and high strength on a surface of a transparent substrate.SOLUTION: The coating composition is used to form a transparent coating film on a surface of a transparent substrate and contains an infrared-absorbing inorganic compound, a binder resin, and a curing agent. The content of the infrared-absorbing inorganic compound is 5.0-20.0 mass% based on the total amount of the infrared-absorbing inorganic compound, the binder resin, and the curing agent. The hydroxyl value of the binder resin is 10-200 mgKOH/g. The curing agent preferably has two or more isocyanate groups. |
