摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic flaw detection device of a round rod body capable of easily detecting that an ultrasonic flaw detection head reaches rotation limit in the case in which the ultrasonic flaw detection head is rotatably supported by a gimbal mechanism.SOLUTION: A flaw detection device of a round rod body which includes a gimbal mechanism 14 in which a lower end face is opened, and an ultrasonic flaw detection head 15 having a vertical probe rotatably supported on the lower face side of the gimbal mechanism and detects flaw by bringing a shoe 17 formed on the end part protruding from the gimbal mechanism of the ultrasonic flaw detection head into contact with a round rod body 3 rotated in the circumferential direction, includes a tracking abnormality detection part 29 which detects a tracking abnormality state in which the ultrasonic flaw detection head exceeds an allowable rotation range on the basis of the ultrasonic flaw detection signal output from the vertical probe 16 of the ultrasonic flaw detection head.
