PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate an image of a wide dynamic range at high speed, without requiring any complicated control or processing on the outside of a photoelectric conversion device.SOLUTION: Each pixel cell 11-1-1 through 11-M-N includes a phototransistor 61 generating an output current of a magnitude corresponding to the intensity of incident light, a switch element 62 for sending the output current from the phototransistor 61 to a column output line 14-1 in response to a first control signal, and a switch element 63 for sending the output current from the phototransistor 61 to a column output line 15-1 in response to a second control signal. Immediately after the switch element 62 is closed over a predetermined setting time and then opened, the switch element 63 is closed, and the switch element 62 is closed after the switch element 63 is opened. |
