<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a noble metal catalyst unlikely to entail, when used as a noble metal catalyst for each electrode of a controlled potential electrolysis-type gas sensor, irregularities of gas sensing performances.SOLUTION: In a controlled potential electrolysis-type gas sensor X equipped with: a working electrode 11 for inducing, as a gas electrode for sensing a gas, a chemical reaction of a sensing target gas; a counter electrode 12 opposite to the working electrode 11; and a reference electrode 13 for controlling the potential of the working electrode in a state they face the electrolyte storage unit 31 of an electrolytic tank 30 storing an electrolyte 20, a noble metal catalyst obtained by supporting, on a carbon powder provided as a carrier, gold nanoparticles having an average particle diameter equal to or lesser than the average particle diameter of the carbon powder is used as the noble metal catalyst of each of the respective electrodes.</p> |
