PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration proof support structure for an engine mount and a power unit having a new structure capable of making a compact size while both durability and a low spring characteristic are being established.SOLUTION: This invention provides a vibration proof support structure for a power unit in which a power unit 12 is supported in vibration proof state at a vehicle body 18. There is provided an engine mount 36 installed at a transmission 16 under a state in which a partial support load of a weight of the power unit is not applied. An outer cylinder member 40 is arranged at an inner shaft member 38 while being spaced apart from it. A main body rubber resilient member 42 fixed to the inner shaft member 38 is assembled while not being adhered to the outer cylinder member 40 to cause the inner shaft member 38 and the outer cylindrical member 40 to be resiliently connected to each other by the main body rubber resilient member 42 and at the same time the outer cylindrical member 40 is fixed to the power unit 12 and in turn the inner shaft member 38 is fixed to the vehicle body 18.
