PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical element sealing structure and a manufacturing method therefor having excellent airtightness and durability, and a highly reliable laser ignition device using the same.SOLUTION: An optical element sealing structure includes a holder 11 which is provided with: a protective glass engaging part 110 to which one end face of a protective glass 10 is abutted; a protective glass positioning groove part 111 which is bored such that a predetermined gap GP (0.01 mm or more and 0.05 mm or less) is formed between the outer periphery of the protective glass 10; and a sealing glass housing groove part 112 which is bored so as to cover a part or the whole of the outer periphery of the protective glass 10. A sealing glass 12 is formed by using low melting point glass having a glass transition temperature of 600°C or less, and an optical element 10 and the holder 11 are sealed in an airtight manner by fusing the sealing glass 12. |
