PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain leakage of a sealing agent filled in a pole column insertion part.SOLUTION: The lead storage battery comprises: a battery case whose top face is opened and that houses an electrode plate inside; a pole column connected to the electrode plate; a cover member closing the top face of the battery case and having a cylindrical pole column insertion part 65 in which the insertion column is inserted; a seal ring inserted from a tip side of the pole column, inserted between an inner periphery of the pole column insertion part 65 and the pole column, and sealing a portion between the inner periphery of the pole column insertion part 65 and the pole column at an insertion end position; and a sealing member for sealing an upper space of the seal ring at the insertion end position of the pole column insertion part 65. Groove parts 73 are formed on the inner periphery of the pole column insertion part 65 at equal intervals in a circumferential direction. |
