PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a commodity storage device capable of improving defrosting efficiency in a defrosting operation of an evaporator.SOLUTION: A showcase includes: a blower fan F that circulates air in a storage chamber 11 defined inside a case body 10, between the inside and the outside of the storage chamber 11; and an evaporator 30 that cools the air circulated by the blower fan F in an air passage 20 outside the storage chamber 11, and retains commodity stored in the storage chamber 11 in a desired temperature state. The showcase further includes: a first heater 51 that is disposed at a lower area of the evaporator 30 in the air passage 20 and, when being driven, heats ambient air thereof; and a first plate-like body 41 and a second plate-like body 42 that are disposed in a mode of closing the air passage 20 in at least one of the upstream side and the downstream side of the evaporator 30 in an air flow of the air passage 20 and allow passage of air through vent holes 41a and 42a formed thereon. |
