PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical node device that is capable of discriminating between an optical transmission path fault and a receiving end fault, and reliably detecting the state of a receiving end.SOLUTION: An optical node device 2 connected with a center device 1 via an optical transmission path 3 includes: downlink light receiving means (PD 201) for receiving downlink light transmitted from the center device 1 via the optical transmission path; uplink light transmitting means (LD unit 213) for transmitting uplink light to the center device 1 via the optical transmission path; detection means (CPU 214) for detecting the state of the optical node device 2; and notification means (FSK modulation unit 211) for superimposing information indicating the state of the optical node device 2 detected by the detection means on the uplink light by a signal at a frequency different from an uplink RF signal and for giving notice to the center device 1. |
