PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prohibit printing operation when a lid cover is under an opening state without using an opening and closing sensor etc.SOLUTION: A tape printing device 1 includes: a cartridge cover 17a which opens and closes a cartridge holder 9; a movable blade 41 which cuts a tape 109 for a printing completion label after printing; a cutter lever 50 which is provided at a housing 2 as rotational by manual operation, does not operates the movable blade 41 within a first rotation angle range from the initial state after rotation starting, and can operate the movable blade 41 within a second rotation angle range that is larger than the first rotation angle range; a lever sensor 203 which detects that the cutter lever 50 becomes within the first rotation angle range; a control circuit 201 which prohibits transportation of a cover film 103 and printing formation on the cover film 103 corresponding to a rotation detection signal from the lever sensor 203; and a cam part 17A and a cam receiver 50A which rotates the cutter lever 50 to the first rotation angle range under linkage with opening operation of the cartridge cover 17a. |
