PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophoretic apparatus that can introduce a sample into a capillary and perform electrophoresis without immersing the edge of the capillary into a sample housing part.SOLUTION: The electrophoretic apparatus includes: the capillary; a suction pump for sucking liquid; a suction pipe whose end is located downward vertically; a connection block that holds one end of the capillary, has in its inside a suction flow path for communicating the suction pump and suction pipe communicate with each other, and connects the suction pipe with the flow path; a sample housing part that houses a sample and has an opening at the upper part thereof so that the tip end of the suction pipe can be inserted into the opening; a suction pipe access mechanism allowing the tip end of the suction pipe to be inserted into the sample housing part; and a voltage application mechanism for applying a voltage across the capillary. |
