PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel which has a simple and efficient mechanism with no use of a motor and a battery, and reuses energy reserved during deceleration for next acceleration. ! SOLUTION: A wheel 3 rotates around an axle 2 provided to a vehicle body 1, and moves the vehicle body 1 while supporting the vehicle body. The wheel 3 comprises: a wheel side gear 4 which can be interlocked with the wheel 3; a spring side gear 7 rotatable around the axle 2; a turntable 5 which is rotatable in only one direction around the axle 2; a planetary gear 6 which is so disposed on the turntable 5 as to engage with both of the wheel side gear 4 and the spring side gear 7; a spiral spring-like spring 8 which is fixed to the vehicle body 1 at one end thereof and fixed to the spring side gear 7 at the other end thereof; a wheel side brake shoe for braking rotation of the wheel 3; and a turntable side brake shoe 10 for braking rotation of the turntable 5. !
