<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism for properly processing new call-incoming of a VOIP even during execution of G3 FAX communication with another party.SOLUTION: A communication apparatus comprises CNG detection means other than a modem for FAX communication, which detects a CNG signal transmitted from a call-originating side. The communication apparatus is controlled as in the following. When the CNG detection means detects a CNG signal when call-incoming of a VOIP is detected, if a modem is not in use, facsimile reception is performed by using the modem. When the CNG detection means does not detect the CNG signal, the call-incoming is connected to a telephone set.</p> |
