PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint cover device for a wall that has an outer surface which is substantially flat and has no recessed part exposed thereupon even when right and left buildings swing owing to an earthquake such that a joint part becomes wider and narrower, and can absorb the swing so as to maintain safety and beauty.SOLUTION: A joint cover device 1 for a wall comprises: two or more extension/contraction link mechanisms 6 each of which has three center pivot parts 5 at a center part having both ends pivoted on outer wall surfaces 3a on joint part sides of right and left buildings 3; channel-shaped cover plates 10 which are pivoted on center pivot parts 5 with pivot pins 8 fixed to center parts of inner plates 7 and open on sides of the right and left buildings 3; end cover plates 13 which slide to move so as to come into contact with outer plates 11 of the channel-shaped cover plates 10 to have tip parts pivoted inward on pivot parts 12 of both ends of the extension/contraction link mechanisms 6; and a center cover plate 14 which is pivoted with a pivot pin 15 and can slide to move. |
