PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a surface-mounting inductor, capable of preventing a lead-out end from being buried in a core, without using any special component or the like.SOLUTION: A molding die is used in which a cavity is formed by a lower die 30A, a first upper die 30B having a side face surrounding three directions and opening one direction, and a second upper die 30C closing the opening of the first upper die. A coil 31 is formed from a wire in a process that the wire is wound in such a manner that lead-out ends of the wire are brought into contact with the side faces of the first upper die and the second upper die. The coil is disposed from the opening of the first upper die into the cavity of the molding die in such a manner that lead-out ends 31A and 31B of the coil are brought into contact with the side faces of the first upper die and the second upper die. In a die-fastened state of the first upper die and the second upper die, a core is formed by encapsulating the coil with an encapsulation material containing magnetic powder. An external electrodes are formed to the core, and the lead-out ends of the coil are connected with the external electrodes. |
