PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To backup data within an image processing apparatus in occurrence of a disaster. ! SOLUTION: An image processing system comprises: an operation unit which has a memory unit; and a body unit which executes image processing on the basis of an instruction inputted via the operation unit. The operation unit is mounted detachably to a casing constituting the body unit and when a predetermined condition is satisfied, transfers data stored by the body unit as data to be used when the body unit executes image processing, to the memory unit of the operation unit for storing the data. !
