<p>The present invention relates to a vehicle operation device which can accurately recognize characteristics of a hand by extracting micro patterns of a palm using laser light, and to an operation method thereof. The vehicle operation device comprises: a lighting unit irradiating laser light onto an object; an image acquiring unit detecting a surface pattern of the object by the laser light, and generating motion vector data by tracing a moving direction of the surface pattern; a motion detecting unit generating motion data by detecting motion corresponding to the motion vector data from preset motion information; and a device controlling unit generating a device control signal to control a device arranged inside a vehicle.</p> |
