<p>The present invention relates to a congestion control method for a mobile terminal using multipath transmission control protocol (Multipath-TCP). The congestion control method includes the following steps: (a) deactivating a mobile communication network and setting a congestion window, which is set as a congestion window value of the previous network multiplied by a weight factor, to the maximum value if the mobile terminal performs a vertical handover to a wireless data network; and (b) activating the mobile communication network and setting the congestion window as the congestion value of the previous network multiplied by 1/weighted value if the mobile terminal performs a vertical handover to a network, which is not a wireless data network. According to the present invention, effective congestion control is facilitated by adjusting the congestion window according to whether a network, to which the mobile terminal moves during a vertical handover, is a wireless data network.</p> |
