<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanning device that enables an amount-of-light distribution on a measured surface to be corrected even when there is an influence of birefringence of an image formation lens or a phase difference in a folding mirror, and to provide an image formation device using the optical scanning device.SOLUTION: The optical scanning device has: polarization means that polarizes a light flux from light source means to a main scanning direction; an image formation optical system that includes an image formation optical element condensing a light flux polarized by the polarization means on a first measured surface and a second measured surface; a first reflection member that is provided in a first optical path between the polarization means and the first measured surface; and a second reflection member, a third reflection member, and a fourth reflection member that are provided in a second optical path between the polarization means and the second measured surface. The first reflection member and the second reflection member have the same reflection property, and in an effective scanning zone, the third reflection member has a reflection property in which reflectance with respect to an off-axis light flux is lower than reflectance with respect to an axial light flux, and the fourth reflection member has a reflection property in which the reflectance with respect to the off-axis light flux is higher than the reflectance with respect to the axial light flux.</p> |
