摘要 <p>The present invention relates to a silicon-coated three-dimensional porous metal structure, and a manufacturing method thereof. More specifically, the present invention provides a three dimensional porous metal structure manufactured by making a nano-sized three-dimensional porous metal structure by an electrochemical reduction method and then coating silicon on the surface of the structure from a silicon precursor by the electrochemical reduction method. According to the present invention, the silicon-coated three-dimensional porous metal structure has an advantage of being more rigid due to a metal supporter, and having a high porosity as a three-dimensional structure. Also, a lithium secondary battery having a silicon cathode including the three-dimensional porous metal structure has a larger surface area than a traditional silicon cathode, and is able to easily accommodate stress generated by an expansion in volume caused during charging and discharging through rigidity by the metal supporter. Also, the lithium secondary battery has a higher amount of charging and discharging than a traditional silicon cathode material, thereby being used as a cathode material for a high capacity secondary battery.</p>
