PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an ignition coil contributive to simplification of the manufacturing work of a two-layer insulation structure.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing an ignition coil includes a high voltage part insulation structure molding step for manufacturing a high voltage part impregnation body by filling the internal gap space of a high voltage part case body housing a secondary coil, out of the structure of a coil assembly, with epoxy resin in liquid state and then curing, a transfer molding step for manufacturing a non-high voltage part impregnation body by attaching the non-high voltage part coil components, excepting the secondary coil, to the high voltage part impregnation body, and then impregnating the coil assembly with a molten thermosetting resin under pressure and thermosetting, and an injection molding step for forming an additional structural part adhering to the thermosetting resin, by filling the contact space part with the non-high voltage part impregnation body with the molten thermosetting resin. |
