PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a down escape-preventing fabric which is used for clothing, bedding or the like including a filling material, and which is excellent in suppressing the blowing-off of the filling material from a seam in a quilting part or the like and excellent in feeling. ! SOLUTION: A down escape-preventing fabric is made of splittable conjugate fibers having a total fineness of 25-50 dtex. After elution or splitting treatment, a thin fineness is obtained such that a single fiber fineness is at least partly 1.0 dtex or less. Thereby, there is provided the down escape-preventing fabric which is so small in seam slippage as to be excellent in suppressing the blowing-off of a filling material, and which is excellent in feeling and light in weight. !
