PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress fuel consumption efficiently by increasing the chance of switching to a drive mode putting fuel economy in priority. ! SOLUTION: A vehicular travel control device includes: travel control means 18 enabled for a first drive mode and a second drive mode that suppresses fuel consumption; a changeover switch 26 for switching drive modes; and brake means 30 for applying braking to the travel by stepping on a brake pedal 31. Vehicle-stop detection means 27 is provided for detecting a vehicle-stop state, and when the vehicle-stop detection means detects the vehicle-stop state as a result of the brake pedal 31 being stepped on, the travel control means 18 switches to the second drive mode. Once switched to a mode other than the second drive mode, a drive mode other than the second drive mode is executed until the changeover switch 26 is switched over again or the vehicle-stop detection means re-detects a vehicle-stop state after detecting a state other than the vehicle-stop state |
