A method and a system for analysis of a function in at least one system related to a combustion engine 101 in a vehicle 100 is described. The system comprises an engine load device, which is arranged for the build-up of an engine load L for the vehicle, where such engine load L is of a suitable size for analysis of the function and where the engine load device is arranged to use at least one service brake system 150, which applies a braking action on at least one wheel 111, 112, 113, 114 in the vehicle during the build-up of the engine load L. The system according to the present invention also comprises an analysis device which is arranged to perform the analysis of the function in the at least one system during a time period Tstationary, where the built-up engine load L is kept substantially stationary during the time period Tstationary through the continued use of the at least one service brake system 150. |
