#CMT# #/CMT# The method involves preparing a mold corresponding to final shape of a surgical instrument, by previously forming an interior portion of the instrument in the mold, where the portion does not comprise a plastic part designed to withstand increased stresses by previously forming the portion as a preform in form of metal rod and inserting the portion into the mold so as to leave only a space unfilled in the mold. The part is formed in the form of a thin layer by molding by filling a space left between the portion and the mold to obtain the surgical instrument or device by molding. #CMT# : #/CMT# An independent claim is also included for a surgical instrument. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Method for producing a surgical instrument or device i.e. femoral rasp (claimed), for acting on bone to remove a portion of the bone.
