GENERATOR COLLECTOR RING POLISHING DEVICE

The present invention relates to a polishing device for a collector ring of a generator. The polishing device includes a base block having a guide rail extending in a longitudinal direction; a forward-backward moving block mounted on the base block to be able to move in the longitudinal direction of the guide rail; a lateral moving block mounted on the forward-backward moving block to be able to move in a left and right direction; a rotation block mounted on the lateral moving block to be able to rotate around a vertical rotation shaft; and a polishing unit having a polishing wheel which comes into contact with an outer end of a collector ring of a generator, and rotating the polishing wheel to polish the outer surface of the collector ring. Since the surface of the collector ring is cleaned in a state in which the collector is mounted to the generator, it is not necessary to interrupt the operation of the generator. Even though the collector ring is not rotated at high speed, the surface of the collector ring can be precisely polished, thereby reducing the cost required to polish the collector ring.
