<p>PURPOSE: A method and a pharmaceutical composition for inducing cell apoptosis are provided to overexpress proteins containing SET domains and to lower cell viability. CONSTITUTION: A method for inducing cell apoptosis comprises a step of overexpressing proteins containing SET domains of amino acid sequence number 1. The proteins are setd3 of sequence number 2. A pharmaceutical composition for inducing cell apoptosis contains the proteins or a gene encoding the same as an active ingredient. The pharmaceutical composition is used for preventing and treating cancer, diabetes, artheriosclerosis, inflammatory bowel diseases, autoimmune diseases, transplantation rejection, post-traumatic immune response, infectious diseases, lymphatic tumor, multiple sclerosis, SLE, pachydermia, ischemia, stroke, uveitis or diabetic retinopathy.</p> |
