<p>Disclosed are an apparatus for preventing collision in a vehicle and a method thereof. The apparatus for preventing collision in a vehicle according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a front detection sensor for detecting the distance to a preceding vehicle, relative velocity, and relative acceleration; a warning unit to warn the risk of collision with the preceding vehicle; and an electronic control unit for receiving sensor information input from the front detection sensor, for determining the risk of collision for each model from vehicle speed models representing a plurality of dynamic situations between a personal vehicle and the preceding vehicle, for determining the final collision risk which is integrated of the determined collision risk, and for warning the risk of collision with the preceding vehicle on the basis of the determined final collision risk.</p> |
