<p>One embodiment of a combative punching bag uses a cylindrical low inertia basic body (102), through which a stiff arm (104) is mounted such that the long axis of the arm (104) is horizontal. The stiff arm (104) is secured in place such that it is restrained from passive movement relative to the basic body (102). At each end of the stiff arm (104) hand (106) are added as padding. A top anchor (108) and a bottom anchor (110) partially restrict the potential linear movement of the embodiment. The embodiment is designed with low inertia relative to a user's strike or punch such that the embodiment will move linearly and rotationally quickly in reaction to the user's strike, and in turn the stiff arm (104) will strike back at the user after the user's strike.</p> |
