The present invention relates to a transmission apparatus for an excavator. According to the present invention, a transmission apparatus for an excavator uses a planetary gear reducer installed in the casing thereof, and comprises: a low-speed clutch (20) connecting or disconnecting power between the casing and the ring gear of the planetary gear reducer; a high-speed clutch (30) connecting or disconnecting power between the ring gear and an input shaft having the sun gear of the planetary gear reducer on the end thereof; a brake cylinder (210) positioned in the casing, and elastically supported by an elastic member (212) such that the low-speed clutch can be in a close state when one end of the brake cylinder (210) touches the low-speed clutch (20); a clutch cylinder (220) positioned in the casing, and elastically supported by an elastic member (222) such that the high-speed clutch can be in a close state when one end of the clutch cylinder (220) presses the high-speed clutch (30); a high-speed flow path (P10) separating the clutch cylinder from the high-speed clutch such that the high-speed clutch can be in an open state by a hydraulic pressure supplied from a hydraulic pressure source; and a low-speed flow path (P20) separating the brake cylinder from the low-speed clutch such that the low-speed clutch can be in an open state by the hydraulic pressure supplied from the hydraulic pressure source. In addition, the clutch cylinder and the brake cylinder open both of the high-speed clutch and the low-speed clutch when the hydraulic pressure is simultaneously supplied through the high-speed flow path and the low-speed flow path.
