A solar concentrator comprising: a mirror structure that includes a plurality of mirrors; a driving mechanism that directs sunlight which is reflected by the plurality of mirrors of the mirror structure to a predetermined concentrating position; and a supporting base that supports the driving mechanism, wherein a center of gravity of the mirror structure is located between the plurality of mirrors, wherein the driving mechanism includes a first rotational shaft that has a first rotational axis as a central axis and is supported by the supporting base to be rotatable, a first drive device that rotates the first rotational shaft, a second rotational shaft that has the mirror structure fixed thereto, has a second rotational axis which is orthogonal to the first rotational axis as a central axis, and is mounted on the first rotational shaft to be rotatable, and a second drive device that rotates the second rotational shaft, and wherein the center of gravity of the mirror structure is located in the first rotational shaft or in an extension from the first rotational shaft and in the second rotational shaft or in an extension from the second rotational shaft.
