A method for preparing molecular sieves with a Linde Type A (LTA) topology structure, and molecular sieves obtained thereby are described wherein a structure directing agent comprising a triquaternary cation is contacted with a source of a first oxide of a first tetravalent element or a source of a first oxide of a trivalent element; and a source of an oxide of a pentavalent elements.

1. An as-synthesized molecular sieve with a Linde Type A (LTA) topology prepared by a method, the method comprising:
preparing a reaction mixture comprising:
a first structure directing agent comprising a triquaternary cation (I); a source of a first oxide of a first tetravalent element,a source of fluoride, andoptionally, a source of a second oxide of a second tetravalent element; and maintaining the reaction mixture for a time and under conditions to form crystals of the molecular sieve with LTA topology.
