Asbestos sheets.-Asbestos felt or sheet is made by spreading short asbestos fibre on a sheet of combustible or incombustible material and stitching to the sheet by incombustible thread. If desired the fibres may be attached by metal staples. The material is pressed before or during the stitching. The base material if combustible is burnt off.</p> |
